TWIGGS COUNTY, AL – A U-haul driver died after striking the back of a left rear-tractor trailer on I-16 Tuesday, resulting in the U-haul catching fire. This collision happened between Bullard Road and Sgoda Road. The driver of the tractor-trailer had a blown-out tire and put caution triangles around his truck. He was asleep and waiting on a tow truck when he was struck by the U-Haul. The tractor-trailer driver was unharmed, while the U-haul motorist was pronounced dead at the scene.
