Narrative

TALLADEGA CO., AL – A 29-year-old man died last Thursday in a two-vehicle crash near the city of Alpine.

The accident happened early in the morning along Alpine Winterboro Road. Officials have not provided a cross street.

Police say the victim was ejected from his motorcycle when a Dodge Ram pickup truck struck him. The motorcycle operator sustained fatal injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as Cody Hester of Talladega.

It’s not yet clear what caused the collision, nor have police indicated if the driver of the pickup will face charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
