BIRMINGHAM, AL – A 56-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries Friday in a major crash along the interstate in Birmingham.
The accident happened at 5 a.m. on the southbound side of I-59 at Arkadelphia Road. This is in the East Thomas area.
Police haven’t yet shared any details about the collision except to say that multiple vehicles were involved.
One of the people involved in the wreck died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified her as 56-year-old Wendi D. Baldwin.
A full investigation is underway.
