Narrative

DALLAS, AL – Four teenagers died last Thursday night from injuries sustained in a solo crash along the highway in east-central Dallas County.

The accident happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. along US-80 just east of Selma.

Police say that for unknown reasons, an 18-year-old driver lost control of their vehicle, left the highway, and hit a tree.

The driver and three passengers died at the scene. Authorities identified two of the victims as 19-year-old Isaiah McDade and 19-year-old Tyler Jones. The other two victims have not been named publicly because they are minors.

Medics transported a fifth occupant of the vehicle to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

None of the victims were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
