NEAR GROVE HILL, AL – A 77-year-old woman lost her life, and a 64-year-old adult was sent to the hospital following a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 43 Saturday.
The crash unfolded around 6:30 a.m. when the 77-year-old woman — Lillie Smith — drove her Jaguar and crashed into a pickup truck and then another vehicle.
The 64-year-old adult, a Jaguar passenger, sustained unspecified wounds and was sent to a medical facility for treatment, while Smith died from her injuries at the scene.
