BLOUNT COUNTY, AL – WBRC reports that a tw0-vehicle crash on Alabama 75 left one man dead and four others injured on Sunday night.
The collision took place just before 7:00 p.m. on Alabama 75, near Firefighter Lane. Authorities say 77-year-old Alvin Lester Presley was driving a 2014 Ford Focus when he did not yield the right of way. A 17-year-old driving a 2004 Cadillac Escalade struck Presley’s vehicle, causing both cars to veer of the road and into a ditch.
Presley was killed in the impact. The 17-year-old driver of the Escalade and three other passengers sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
