Narrative
BIBB CO., AL – An 81-year-old man died Monday in a two-vehicle collision along AL-139 in east-central Bibb County.
The accident occurred near mile marker 16, which is approximately 15 miles northeast of the city of Centreville. This is in the Ashby area.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the crash. They say that the SUV struck the sedan.
The driver of the sedan, identified as Lee R. Johnson, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics took the driver of the SUV along with a passenger from the SUV to the same hospital with unspecified injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
