Narrative
CLEBURNE CO., AL – A 63-year-old man died Friday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident involving a semi in western Cleburne County.
The incident occurred at 8:34 a.m. on US-431 just south of Heflin. This is about 76 miles east of Birmingham.
Police say the victim was driving a pickup truck that collided with a Freightliner semi along the highway. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident.
Authorities identified the victim as Bryan D. Collins of Heflin.
Medics transported the truck driver, identified as 65-year-old Terry H. Ray, to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
