ETOWAH COUNTY, AL – ABC 33/40 News reports that five people were killed in a head-on collision on I-59 in Etowah County on Wednesday night.
The crash was reported shortly after 10:00 p.m. near mile marker 182. Authorities say a 31-year-old driver of a 2001 Chevy Malibu struck a pickup truck head-on. The pickup truck went up in flames after the collision.
The driver of the Chevy was killed in the accident, along with 4 occupants of the pickup truck.
