MUNFORD, AL – One man died, and another was hospitalized after their vehicles collided last night, WBRC 6 reports.
A man was driving down Alabama 21 when his 2004 Toyota Corolla crashed head-on into a 2018 Nissan Altima. Emergency personnel were called to the crash site at about 10:43 p.m. Thursday, near mile marker 246.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to a local trauma center for treatment, where he was later pronounced deceased. He was a 20-year-old from Oxford, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The Nissan’s driver was taken to a Birmingham hospital for his injuries. It’s unclear whether he is in stable condition.
Troopers with the ALEA are currently looking into the case.
